About decor 4 kids
January of 2000 we combined our experience in the youth & baby industry to create a retail store called décor 4 kids, where we could help our customers plan an entire room for their child. We were traveling around the country, Ric as a Vice President of sales and me on the retail end of the business. We decided after years of being on the go that we wanted to settle down and bring our knowledge of the industry together.
I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in interior design. My passion and vision for our store was not just to be a showroom of rows and rows of furniture brands but to create an experience for customers who were excited to truly plan the perfect room for their child. I wanted to be able to offer choices for our customers and be able to help them from start to finish, select furniture, bedding and all the fun accessories that pull the room together and give it that unique look and feel.
Ric has had years of furniture sales experience and has been in the industry since 1968. His expertise comes into play on the trends in the industry and knowing the companies who have really listened to the consumers to ensure the highest quality and selection. He has a great relationship with our furniture companies and understands the industry very well.
We started this business 10 years ago with a 2 year old little boy who is now in middle school and feel lucky to have built such a wonderful and loyal clientele. We can’t believe it has been this long. We started in a small store in Carmel and added a large 35,000 square foot location in Glendale Mall. We now have one location in Noblesville and feel really good about being under one roof, store and warehouse next door. We look forward to growing our business and to offering you the best quality and selection of baby and youth products.
